  88. Key which gives you access to all parts of the program.

  105. professional, technologist and hobbyist. The world of computing is no
  106. exception and to the uninitiated home or small business user,
  107. magazines, manuals and books can be very daunting. Written by someone
  108. who understands these frustrations and needs, The Atari A to Z is an
  109. encyclopaedia of modern computer terminology specifically pertaining
  110. to Atari computers.

  123. The Atari A to Z is produced in A5 format, 340 pages long and
  124. contained in a quality ring folder for convenience. It contains 2,238
  125. entries, 101 tables and 128,000 words. There are five appendices -
  126. Addresses, Book List, Connectors, Extensions, Atari ASCII set, ANSI
  127. Character Set.

  129. Firstly, this is a comprehensive general computing dictionary, there
  130. being entries for all the common terms and acronyms found in modern
  131. day computing. Like any computer user, Atari users require help with
  132. terms not specific to their particular machine. They should be able to
  133. find what they want here.

  136. cover all the Atari computers and consoles. There are expanded
  137. explanations and essays, tables and lists which together form a

  140. accurate than that in The Atari Compendium. There is a list of

  155. The Author
  156. Mark S Baines is a highly experienced computer user having bought his
  157. first computer in 1982, been on the communications networks since 1983
  158. and the Internet since 1993. Holding Bachelor and Masters degrees, he
  159. was once a secondary school teacher of Biology, Computer Studies and
  160. Information Technology, a network manager and school administrator.
  161. Mark left the profession after twelve years to move to his beloved
  162. Highlands to pursue a more benign lifestyle. He currently runs Linnhe
  163. Computing, carrying out training, consultancy, freelance writing,
  164. journalism, export and anything else that takes his fancy! Mark has
  165. written regular columns and other articles in various magazines for
  166. several years, including more recently ST Applications, ST Review and
  167. Atari World.
